Your journey with RANDIGNYbegins not with a rush to measure, but with a relaxed conversation. We want to understand the context of your wear – is it for boardroom meetings, wedding receptions, or important client engagements? We'll discuss your personal style preferences, whether you favor a more relaxed or fitted silhouette, and any particular details you value. This seemingly casual chat is foundational; it directly informs the style and function of your entire suit. Many first-time clients are unsure what truly suits them. Our consultants provide honest advice based on your profession, physique, and even demeanor – we focus on what works for you, not on upselling.
Upon entering our studio, you’ll be greeted by walls of fabric books containing over 600 swatches – from luxurious Italian wools to practical wrinkle-resistant blends, each with a distinct hand, sheen, and weight. We don’t just show you the "celebrity" or most expensive options. We start by understanding your budget and intended use. For frequent summer wear, we might recommend lightweight, breathable wool above 130s; for the frequent traveler, a wrinkle-resistant blend is key. Style selection follows the same principle: younger clients often prefer narrow lapels and a more pronounced waist, while professionals may lean towards a classic, stable cut. Every fabric has its ideal application. Our role is to help you find *your* fabric.

Measurement here is far more than a simple tape measure pass. Our master tailors take over 30 precise measurements, assessing shoulder slope, the natural curvature of your arm, the arch of your back, and even habitual posture – whether you stand erect or have a slight stoop. Details like uneven shoulders or minor scoliosis, if overlooked, can result in an ill-fitting suit regardless of cost. All data is immediately logged into your personal digital profile. This archive serves for future commissions and allows us to track subtle changes in your physique over time. As our tailors say, "A single centimeter can change everything." This step is where we take our time to get it right.
Following measurements, we don't proceed directly to the final suit. Instead, we construct a "basted garment" or "toile" from inexpensive white muslin. This is a step many smaller operations skip, but we've insisted on it for fifteen years. This toile replicates the full structure, shoulder shape, and chest canvas of the final jacket. Its purpose is to reveal the fit and line of the pattern before a single cut is made into your chosen fabric. Issues like sleeve length, waist tightness, or collar roll become immediately apparent. Don't underestimate this "white garment." It prevents costly alterations that could damage the premium fabric later. It is the defining difference between true bespoke and mere made-to-measure.

During the fitting, the master tailor observes you closely. Does the armhole restrict movement when you raise your arm? Does the back feel tight when seated? Is the trouser break correct when you walk? Any point of discomfort – "the left shoulder feels constricted," "it pulls across the stomach" – is marked in tailor's chalk on the spot. These notes guide precise adjustments back at the workshop. Sometimes an armhole or sleeve pitch requires multiple iterations to achieve both freedom of movement and a clean line. This process may add days, but it yields the "forget-you're-wearing-it" comfort that is the ultimate goal. Isn't the essence of bespoke tailoring to make the garment conform to you, not the other way around?
Only after the toile is perfected do we cut into your selected fabric for final construction. Upon completion, we schedule a final inspection at our studio. We examine the stitching, the smoothness of the lining, the security of the buttons, and, most importantly, the overall silhouette and fit. We assess the fabric's luster under light, you view your profile in the mirror, and we test mobility with actions like shaking hands or placing hands in pockets. The garment is only delivered once every detail meets our mutual approval. If any minor imperfection remains, we arrange for immediate rework. What we deliver to you should never be a suit that is "almost right," but a sartorial masterpiece that makes you pause and admire your reflection.
